Hola todos!I have recieved pictures and tales of the snowfall many of you are experiencing, and I am jealous to say the least! I did have to wear a jacket one night during a bike ride this week, so that was super nice! Like I've said it doesn't really get cold at all here, but when it does, it is quite the experience. Due to the extreme humidity, even if its just in the 40's, it is quite a piercing cold that just envelops your body...but right now I'm just sweating sitting here, so that sounds like a pretty good situation to be in. And despite the lack of snow, the Christmas spirit is still thriving! I actually went carolling a few times this week! Christmas decorations abound (although many are thing like snowmen, snowflakes, and santas/elves in full winter clothing...) and "Merry Christmas!" still rings through the air for most! (amidst the constant traffic noises!) We had some really cool experiences this week with people though, so I need to head into that!We met some pretty neat new people, one really cool experience was Anette! We were biking kinda late one night on our way to eat dinner, (we were running a bit late) and turned into a neighborhood right when the bus let some people off at the entrance. I saw a lady amongst them with a cool Christmas scarf, and felt like we should talk to her, (and if any of y'all think missionaries are perfect spiritual giants, this will hopefully let you know we're not) but I shrugged it off because we were late and kept biking. I kept feeling like we should talk, but I didnt want to stop my companion (who bikes much faster then me, especially when we are running late...), but finally, my companion noticed I kept looking back, and he turned around as asked whats up, and I explained the situation. We turned around and biked as fast as we could to the main street and then down the lane I thought I saw her go. My heart sank when we didn't se anyone, but we biked down and eventually saw a lady trying really hard to open her door (she couldn't find the keyhole in the dark well), I went to say hi and as she turned around, I saw the scarf! I struck up a conversation and learned that she just moved from Venezuela (my favorite) 3 weeks ago and has been really searching for a Christ-centered church that speaks spanish! She was really excited to meet us, and we are super excited to see her again! There were two more ladies, but I'll talk about them in the next paragraph! There were some really awesome lessons we had this week, but I really just wanna focus on this one. I'm not sure how much I have updated y'all on Janette(daughter) and Janette(Mother), but Janette(daughter) has been absolutely loving the Book of Mormon and the rest of our message! This last week, she also invited us over to eat dinner with them after the lesson (she heard that I love Reina Pepiada, which is a divine Venezuelan food thing)! When we got there, we met Maria who is the daughter of Janette(daughter), and she is super cool! During the lesson, we taught about the Plan of Salvation and they were loving it! Then we heard a knock at the door and Jannin(sister of Janette[daughter]) came in as we were teaching the spirit world and temples. She became immediately enthralled, and was super excited to keep talking. We finished the lesson and started to eat. As we did, we started teaching Jannin about the church and the Book of Mormon. She was super excited to get her own copy and just as we finished explaining the introduction, Jannete(daughter) came by to give us seconds, and saw the Book in Jannin's hand and said, "Oh, you have to read that, it is incredible!" And I cried a little bit. Not out loud, but that was one of the best moments of my mission!I have handed out tons of Book of Mormon's, and not because we are supposed to, but because, in all sincerety, that Book has changed my life. It is near impossible to explain everything, but the words in that Book and, more importantly, the spirit it brings are nothing short of awe-inspiring and loving! I don't mean that whenever something is going wrong, or I have a question, I just flip open to a random page and everything difficult just poofs into non-existence. That would be silly. I simply mean that through my study of that Book, I have gotten answers to questions that I desperatley needed, and comfort when I really, really needed it. So, It really does pain me to see so many people who I give it to, basically toss it to the side almost as soon as they get it. Many don't even try and open to the first page, and even less will read more than a few lines. It's heartbreaking to see something I dearly treasure and something I know will help this person I love, ignored. So that line from Janette realy impacted me. Just to see someone who has only had a few weeks with it, share that sweet, simple, and beautiful testimony (although, she likely wouldn't call it that yet, haha), had such a huge impact on me! I am not exagerating in the least bit, when I say that I love that Book, and I love the Gospel it teaches and the Man it testifies of with all of my heart and soul! I know that Christ lives! I know that this is His Church! I know that the Book of Mormon is true! I know that the peace, comfort, and knowledge it brings is priceless! And I hope you all know how much I love you all!!! Thanks for everything!!!<3 Elder Fox

Super short, not so sweet 12/10/2018
Hola everybody!
I'm sorry, this is going to be a super short one. We have a few missionaries in our zone that are going home, and so we had some fun stuff going on for them, and I completely lost track of time. I had a lot of people that I had to contact as well, so yeah, super sorry. I'll try and get in everything I can! This week was pretty nice though! An awesome memeber gave us some Chritmas lights, so that was definitely a highlight, haha (puns). Not much else super exciting though. We met some pretty neat people, but not many sadly, we had a lot of meetings and stuff this week. Of the ones we met though, someone awesome was Hector and his wife Wanda! They are from Puerto Rico and moved here after his grandma passed away (they were living with her and kind of caring for her type deal). He heard about the Book of Mormon online, and got super interested. He is super cool and has some super solid questions about everything. Really nice guy. And we've just been talking about Christmas with vitually everyone! Its been awesome! To end it really quick, Easton asked me what my favorite part of the mission has been, and I thought about it for quite a bit, then realized it was gonna be pretty hard to explain the thing it was, but here is my try: the best moment is when someone opens their heart up to the spirit, and it all just clicks. Its really, really amazing, but really, really hard to explain. As missionaries, all we can really do is bring the spirit to the heart of the people we meet. And invite them to keep it there through scripture study and prayer. But all of that will not really do a thing until they actually let the spirit into their heart. And when they do, its incredible! Its like something just clicks, and it is real and very, very powerful! It is just so incredibley strong and every time it has happened, it has been something I will never forget! It is hands, down the best feeling in the world! Thank you all for everything you do, I love you all so much, and I hope you enjoy thecontinues Christmas preperations! LOVE Y'ALL!!!<3 Elder Fox

December means Christmas Music 12/3/2018
Hola todos!Hope you have all had a great start to the CHRISTMAS SEASON!!! Sorry, I'm just a little stoked! Despite the fact that there is no snow and its still 70 degrees out, I'm super excited its finally here again! Its always a blast for missionaries, because people are just so much more open to talk about Christ, its really nice! We don't have many decorations yet, but I fully plan on going to the thrift store very soon, haha, I'm super ready to go full FESTIVE!We met some really awesome people this week too! We met an awesome lady named Janette and her mom: Janette! They are both super sweet, and have really awesome, simple testimonies of Christ! She (younger) wanted to start giving God more room in her life, so she requested a Bible online, and heard about the Book of Mormon, and was super interested! She is very adamant about learning things for herself from God, and not from other people, so that's super amazing too! We also met a man and his wife named Inelys (in-nel-leese) and Fe (late 60's), we met him, and asked if we could come back, and he wasn't super down, but said sure. We showed up, and he opened the door and just said "guys, I already have a church" and I just blurted out, "cool, could we just share a Christmas message?", he thought for a second, and said "sure, come on in". We talked about Christ's birth, and bore our testimonies a ton, and he randomly blurted out, "so what do you think of the ten commandments?", we explained our beliefs on that and much more, and it was really awesome to see how his heart just opened up. We offered a prayer at the end, and he asked right after if he could say one. And he said the sweetest prayer asking God to bless and watch over us and justguide us, it was incredible! There were not too many super interesting or funny moments this week, sorry, it has been very interesting learning about the unspoken rules of 'big-city etiquette'. Just like how you walk down the street and how loud you can be and stuff to not annoy/offend people is kinda weird. And Orlando isnt even that big. Definitely staying out of cities like this when I get back, haha. I also can't believe that I will be home for the next snow season, I'm super super escited for that though! I mean, I love being a missionary, don't get me wrong, but I need my snowy mountains.I took a little too much time up above, sorry. I do wanna take the moment down here to talk about the Christmas initiative though! Light the World! Its awesome! Go to www.mormon.org/christmas to learn more. But you have all heard me bear testimony of service over and over, and I'm gonna do it again! Light the World is all about following Christ's words in Luke 10:37 where He told us to "Go, and do thou likewise". I've said it a thousand times, but the reason He has asked us to serve, is because He knows that it is the best way to be happy! I know it sounds cheesy, but its true! I know it for a fact! Please check out the website, and decide to serve, it will make this season something so much more than an empty celebration. If you take the chance to turn outwards this Christmas, it will be a season of joy, hope, amd healing! Promise! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!<3 Elder Fox
