Hola familia! So, I have been cooking some food for the other missionaries in my Zone all day (long story, maybe I'll explain later), and I now don't have much time to write an email, but I'm going to put together what I can so my mom doesn't think I'm ignoring y'all! (just kidding mom, I love you!) Anyways, these last 2 weeks have been awesome! Elder Westover has been an amazing companion as well! I'll hop in quick here.We met some pretty cool people this week, but highlights would probably be first, Leandro and Gabriella. They are 9 and 13, and from PerĂº. And they lost their father about a year ago, and according to their mom, have just been super depressed since then. But, a member asked us to stop by his coworkers when we were caroling, and the kids aparently kept talking about how happy we were and how much they liked seeing us, so the mom asked us to come by! We have been over a few times, just teahing the kids about the Plan of Salvation, and where their dad is, and how they will see him again, and it has been amazing! Next would probably be the family of Sara! She was driving down the street one night when she saw the missionaries and stopped to talk to them (she speaks only spanish and they only spoke english, it was pretty interesting aparently). She was baptized about 8 years ago in Honduras and then moved here with her family about a year later, and hasn't come to church, but she felt really strongly recently that she needed to come back, then seeing the missionaries was the straw that broke the camels back, haha. We came by and they are awesome! She is super, super nice and really excited to get back into church (came last week!) and her family is awesome and we are super excited to be teaching them! Not much time left, but if I had to pick one more it would probably be Michelle (btw, thats a guy's name in most of latin America) and Briana. We decided to go out knocking on Saturday morning, and after having two doors not answer (roughly 60% of doors have no answer) the third one let us right in his home after we knocked (that virtually never happens). It was super awesome, they are really cool and from Cuba as of about 2 weeks ago, and have been needing some help!As for tose who we are already teaching, not much time left, but Janette and her family are doing AWESOME! Her mom is about to move back to Spain, so thats pretty sad. Everyone else is doing pretty well!I don't really know what to end it off with down here, but if I had to give these weeks a gospel topic, it woud definitely be the fact that the Lord repay's you in ways you can never imagine when you follow His commandments and work hard for Him! There are many, many, many promises all throughout the scriptures (ancient, new, and modern) that claim that as we do what we have been asked to do, no matter how much it may go against what we think is better or 'more logical', we will be prospered! We will see blessings! I love 1 Nephi 2:20 when the Lord says that, "inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands." He knows us better than we know ourselves! And He knows exactly the situation (or 'land') that will bring us the most joy, and He will do everything He can to lead us there! Please, follow Him! I love you all more than you know! Have an awesome week! LOVE Y'ALL!!!<3 Elder Fox
